Hi - I am Adam Worsfold
Founder of - ONIX AUDIO
I co-designed, all original ONIX AUDIO WIKI products - OA20-OA21- OA24- OA401 -OA601 -OA801 and the original ONIX AUDIO range from 1984. I did this when I was very young .I was behind the screwless aluminium case work, and all production processes ,materials & costing integrity.
I am a diverse individual that has haters and admirers alike . In essence its a compliments if people don’t like you , it means you stood up for your beliefs and made it known . Some cant handle that . Sometimes its what takes makes move mountains No matter how some voice negativity in todays social media junkyard of faceless trolls.
Production engineering is my passion, put in to all ONIX OA21 amps since day one. The models that built ONIX to a household name in years gone by . ONIX AUDIOis a name known to the world, for reliability and performance and was the first real British amp that cared about how they look. We set the standards in cosmetics & construction excellence . I am really proud of that reputation , its so good to know countless people appreciate my efforts .
I was responsible for the build integrity and awesome durability of ONIX AUDIO products. Such as the OA21 and OA22 the BWD1 and everything that came out of the UK Company being the sole owner of ONIX AUDIO from 1985.
I am fortunate to be trained as a "clean sheet designer" which means I can design the whole product including the case work / electronics / Material Selection and manufacture processes. This is very rare now. Material technology is one of my passions , naturally all ONIX AUDIO products are exceptional in this area, that's why they last so long and sound so musical . I use the right parts for the job, and design them to work as one . Suppliers know what its like to have a hard time with me getting it right . Negotiation and knowledge of how is the key to everything in the world of suppliers and manufacturing.
Some Notable Achievements along the way
I have been a consultant for several international electronics companies over the years, and have been involved in designs within their product ranges. I have overseen production processes, and component selection to product production, for consumer / Business sale across the world .
I have designed modules for the aviation industry, and various modification requirements with electronic systems. Including, creating a patent that is now used by a large well known company building commercial aircraft .
I entirely designed the ONIX DNA Range - ONIX DNA Ultimate - and the ONIX DNA 45/50 , as well as the awesome ONIX AUDIO OA21 legacy.
I have worked in a training capacity for a UK TV Chanel, and have trained others in my field for specific jobs and Electronic engineering .
I am proud of my tenacity and locked focus when I want to do something and get it right .
I am involved on other projects that interest me , and love learning each day . My life is for self improvement and that of my surroundings . Like me or not I work to my standards in everything
My Approach to all Engineering
I think most engineering is undervalued by so many , Our ONIX AUDIO - DNA Ultimate / EVOLUTION took years to perfect through R & D. Not to mention the hours of listening and the huge cost of development .. Time has no substitute for perfection . Even if effort is not rewarded directly.
Electronics is often misunderstood, its the art of design with the art of integration, knowing how components work perfectly together . Know what the human interface needs to be with the case and a remote . We make the best amps, and when our customers experience them they often tell us how good they are , that's how we feel valued . We and our genuine customers value our time and appreciate its scarcity.
Those that buy marketing, just have no idea how they are being used in todays world of " Marketing is king " or "accountants running companies " . “Share price rules “ I have integrity and remain independent & ONIX is just one of my involvements and I take a backseat most of the time these days but still have my finger on the pulse .
