There are people offering upgrades and repairs  - Most guys just fix it , we renovate it , as they are 30 years old they need more than just a "Fix it "- If one thing has gone wrong,  soon its likely something else will follow.

All OA units were designed and made the best they could be at the time they were made . 30 years Ago

We know what we did to make them perfect then, and we know how much time it took  , they were our passion .

We listened for hours and we made 1000s,  we learned each day how to make them sound better along the way

No one knows better than us what " secrets "we added each time an improvement was made.

But surely all amps are the same, so whats the difference ?

We only use original  new parts, that sound perfect and are the parts we used originally , each model of amplifer is retained as a reference of what it should sound like.. We listen and compare crucially keeping all renovation amps 100% genuine

ONIX AUDIO / OA21 & OA22 AMPS were made by us  .Our parts fit right, work right , sound right and ARE RIGHT only we know what those parts are . We had parts made for us with no numbers on the components as they were designed by us .

NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE EXCEPT US

They are not " near enough " as is virtually without exception the parts we see in units we get back Repaired or Upgraded  by " Audio Repair Guys " in particular those posting on Facebook tend to have installed .. They do not know what we did to make our units sound so good, most "repair"  guys know nothing about Audio but often claim they do. They just reproduce false claims  from the internet junk on Facebook and forums .

Upgrades are normally a specification detraction and not worth having, as they detract from the original sound,they never improve it

We often see products badly repaired by people that don't know what they are doing , reading forums and in particular Facebook. We have to rectify their mistakes before we start to renovate them .  We are sure no repair person knows how our amps work ( Because it is an art we did not share  )  they do not know what we did to make them sound so good  . Its unbelievable how bad some ONIX AUDIO OA21 amps have been repaired and bodged often with components that are 100% wrong. 

* Wrong value,  wrong size , wrong type , wrong brand  even being glued in as they don't fit *

Repairers spray contact cleaner on switches,  this ruins the switch for ever

( switches are often plastic and cleaner destroys the plastic after a few months )  . 

Older switches cannot be replaced , so we take them apart to renovate them . We DO NOT spray contact cleaner on them EVER

If contact cleaner is sprayed on a switch it will destroy the switch later, and most switches on our older units are no longer made .

We NEVER do this, and guarantee  our renovations for 2 years .

Our parts  are the RIGHT PARTS, We are the company that made them doing these renovations. The only one that can.

We do this job the way it should be done, with new parts if required, they come back to you like new.  

All renovations are tested and "listened" too before becoming an ONIX Approved renovations , giving your amp 30+ years again.

We guarantee them for 2 years - Who else does this ?

COMPONENTS ARE NEVER CREATED EQUAL , neither are real engineers , cheap is always cheap, no one works for nothing.

The spec sheet cant listen,  but for your love of music and our older units we hope you listen to us .​ not others .​

Our circuit designs are proprietary  we have never given them out ( ONIX OA21 have OA circuits  but we never distribute them ) .

We have yet to find ONE " repair person "  that has repaired our units with the right parts or in the right way .
