I am Adam Worsfold, I was born in London England . I have always been unashamedly outspoken. I know some don't like it and some don't understand it  . However I do not follow herd mentality or what it creates from those that follow it . I value friendship, and will do anything for people I like . Including customers . I will not bow to demands that are created by expectation that others have superiority from ANYONE. Armchair Critics and "Know All hobbyists" that in this industry are rife make me cringe. They post on Facebook / Tik Tok and HiFI forums with impunity  .  They all brag about what they know, but none have ever made anything worth having with  commercial  viability  . It seems that  how they pass the time . Real people don't thrive on forums or Facebook .. Real people progress their lives achieve some thing positive every day  and listen to others that know better from years of experience. 

My motivation is achieving progressing in my life daily ,  either personally or mentally

A company is not one person, it is always a collection of minds that create great products & from creative ideas . It is the customer and the product together ,  plus an  understanding from all parties involved what it takes to make things work well. The customer is NOT always right,  and the saying they are has never been more outdated than now.   If a customer shows no respect for what we do to help them , I will let them know they are wrong . We as a company, we wont just say what you want to hear, we tell it as it is . Most find that refreshing in todays world 

​I think social media has damaged a whole generation , it is often used by strangely disturbed individuals seeking affirmation of who they pretend to be.  It portrays wealth as the only measure of success. Armchair warriors & trolls have no lives of their own and seem to use all of these platforms. They normally are bored people, that attack others from their own insecurities & jealously with huge desire for recognition . They don't bother me at all, and amuse me most of the time . None would ever like to meet me,  of that I am sure . In fact I would welcome such a meeting and have offered it on some forums  .. Not one took it up ?

I am getting older , but I am blessed with great health and a sharp mind , and I pride myself on having a very open mind,  embracing all changes the world has to offer. We even have a Tik Tok Account,  but social media has proven its a marketing tool,  with users as the product, It should be seen that way and we will all be fine . Tik Tok with Chinese propaganda makes me laugh and it is not to be trusted . In particular if you try to make money from it or believe what is pushed on it . Check everything before you think its true on Tik Tok .

I had my first record player  at 4 years old made by " Marx toys " . When I was 15 my older brother gave me a music-center made by "Sharp"  in Japan, for Christmas present .

I felt that I could sound better so that's what I did over about 12 months I studied it and modified it to make it much better,  the rest as they say is ONIX history. When I was  17  I became an official apprentice in an audio factory called " Thorn EMI " in England Sussex.  My mission became to manufacture all products better . I saw how things were made and I knew cost was king in most companies. I learned  most companies were driven by accountants. I hated this compromise, and each day as I watched it being put in place I vowed I had to change this culture. ONIX AUDIO was born a short time later in 1984 ..  ONIX AUDIO from 1984  ultimately re-wrote the book by thinking out of the box implementing quality and integrity putting  in the ULTIMATE DNA of ONIX AUDIO . 

The pursuit of great sound comes from knowing what great sound is , it comes first Knowing what you hear and the feeling of WOW I didn't know it could sound that good . While I worked in a world famous night club as a barman, during my apprenticeship. I had the good fortune to meet and spend time with quite a few famous 80s bands and superstars. This allowed me to understand what music really is, hearing it at its source and how the sound shaped everyone . One well known ( M ) 80s / 90s superstar  was seriously involved in the sound production, this left a huge mark on me . It was very important in development of ONIX AUDIO  and its products . To know what she did to make her music sound so good .

Hifi Makes you feel better about your life , with how the music moves you 

Its the ability to reproduce  music and sound as close as the artist/Recording wanted you to hear it , it takes a great source ( Vinyl / Media Player / Streaming Centre / Blue Ray ) and it takes a fantastic amp to move the speakers as fast as possible ( Push the speaker out, and PULL it back ultra fast ready to do it all again ) and it takes speakers that move air with precision and perfection . It is not compressed MP3 , or Bluetooth speakers ( They are not fast enough ) and only have 20% of the original recording.  It is not any other compressed audio such as "Flak" or "lossless" either  Its pure sound with all of the signal recorded from the studio creating the music to be heard at the end ,  as its meant to be . Once you know what it is, you cant go back . Great sound makes all music and any movie better , no matter what you listen too . A great amp is the key to one of our most important senses .

Home entertainment is about the immersion into  the movie or the concert. Sound is everything to the enjoyment you get from watching films , with sound that blows you away , this sound is not created by multiple Bluetooth  speakers or gadgets, it a great amp with an ability to create imaging by unrivalled design . Yes I do, I  designed the ONIX DNA range entirely, and the new ONIX OA21  Legacy  ,  and I was an integral design part of the final design of all original ONIX products in the 80s. Every design is a team effort and there are a huge number of things to get right for a new product launch such as the ONIX DNA range. It took over 24 months to perfect with sound tests & listening from multiple people and countries.   Then we have to put it in to production with processes and systems.

If it was easy everyone would do it and so very few do .  I find it strange many people comment on forums bragging about how easy amp design is, yet none of those people seem to be the people that make anything . Forums are narrow Social media platforms , existing with far too many "armchair critics" contributing by repeating hearsay , that the internet perpetuates to those that want to find it , then they repeat it and claim it as their own .

I value time, its everyone's most valuable asset . I never watch TV,  as I always have better things to do .  I videos that help me to learn and increase my knowledge of the world we live in . Nothing on TV , unless its a film used for entertainment is worth wasting your time on .

Forums make everyone in to a specialist that know everything such as saying China is like Japan from the 70s . This is so far from the truth but its what people think . All ONIX AUDIO R&D is done by us at ONIX AUDIO in the UK.   R&D costs lots and lots of time and a huge amount of money.  Time alone is what makes a product great . Copying it by reverse engineering, is a Chinese culture , why spend money when you can copy or steal it ?   .. Its a Chinese mentality you cant break . China is not Japan , and never ever will be. It makes me angry when people say China is the same as the Japanese rise in producing quality products . China will never ever be the same as Japan , Japanese workers  are proud of the work they do , Japanese workers are taken care of by their company ,  Chinese workers are exploited by employers, and often have their hard earned money deducted and not paid . Chinese workers are slaves , Japanese workers are employees . Chinese companies care only about money not the customer or the employee . China will never ever be Japan. 

Forum fans have been giving a voice that is being listened to by the ones that post on forums , its a circle of miss information you cant break  . Most people posting on forums have never run a company  or produced the products they post about .  They just re-post what others have posted from what they have read. Specializing on subjects that they actually know nothing about. In truth forums are a waste of time , made to make the owner's of forums some money by frequent use . 

I have personally been the subject on forums and it makes me laugh with what they think up . While most companies were closed for Covid 19, people were stuck at home, this was bound to have an effect on them. In my opinion the die hard forum fans grew during the Covid crisis, along with their imagination and creativity. I have no idea why they thrive on this but my guess its a lack of value of their own time .

I have actually offered to meet the forum critics  , when they posted lies about me, my companies. or what we do  but  It has never been taken up...you guess  why ?

We must all learn, as I have learned, to ignore them, and let them live in their alternate world of belief , created by the need for likes from others to like them , with the quest for glory and recognition . We must pity them really, they are obviously very lonely people . In some ways they have my pity 

I need a new young team to work with me , I have appointed some to take over day to day running, I will still have a lot of input, but we will have new drive, energy with direction to take us to the next stage of ONIX OA21. We will have some great new  products , my time is needed to create those . My love for HIFI is in the ONIX DNA . We are a progressive company that knows if we are to meet the needs of customers, we need a more vibrant take on things . I believe this will provide us with what we need to go forward for everyone. We love our original customers but of course we need a new take on how we do things .

We do have an ability to re introduce on line sales, but we are inclined to work via dealers from now on for our exclusive high end products . We feel agents represent us the way our customers need it, we will appoint new agents  on a very selective basis. Dealers will be in many cases independents that know real HiFi, those that  can support us and the customer . We do not work like Chinese companies where numbers and how many units you sell is all that counts. Our ONIX OA21 products sold via dealers will not be sold on line from us , the products sold on line will not be sold via dealers . We will support our agents 100% with all areas of support they require .

We are not Chinese, mass producers,  we are exclusive and the best guys to represent us is for those that know this . 

ONIX AUDIO / OA21  is a company known to be independent, and we offer the best sounding products  to those that know what great sound is. We offer unrivalled designs . We are always a  team not one person , and we know a  team is the future of any company. New people have  new ideas all the time .

My favourite saying is :-  " you don't know where your going if you don't know where you've been " .  Decades of fantastic hifi is where we have been .. we know where we are going , we invite you to join us for your journey with us .. We also ask you to try to understand why we make such great products and why so many are jealous of how we have done it for so long .
